About Us
Big R Orchards - Wedding and Events Venue - is a beautiful custom built setting located high atop of Brushy Mountain, conveniently located between Boone and Winston-Salem. This majestic 150 acre property has been in the Robinson family for 3 generations. The previous 2 generations farmed the multiple orchards located on the property, and most of that farmland is still in use today. The wedding venue itself was specifically designed to enhance and showcase the beauty of nature. Boasting scenic mountain views, a 6 acre lake(fed by 6 natural mountain springs), and peninsula golf green, we believe this wedding and events venue is the ideal place for your celebration.
The Venue
The wedding venue itself was designed by our owner, Scott Robinson, and was custom build with the help of his friends. There is 2400 square feet of heated/cooled rooms that include the Bridal Suite, commercial kitchen, public restrooms, and the Groom Suite. The Grand Hall is 6000 square feet of covered space that features a floor to ceiling fireplace, automatic shades that can be dropped in the event of bad weather, a glass entryway, and a custom bar complete with a kegerator. There is also and additional 1760 square feet of open air dance floor complete with overhead string lights. The perfect area to dance the night away under gorgeous starry skies.
We Love Our Community
We believe that the community of people you chose to surround yourself with shape you into the person you are. It is certain that we would not have been able to offer this amazing venue to the public without the help of our community. We are honored to be able to donate time and funds to several youth sports programs, Ebenezer's Children's Home, schools, Wilkes County firefighters and EMS, law enforcement, and local businesses.
